Depth Problem

Postby rs199483 » Mon Jul 21, 2014 6:19 pm

I've attached an image showing a character walking above a building. What can I look at to correct the depth problem? It seems it depends on what angle the characters are walking, sometimes they go behind.

Have you set 3d bounds for your entities?
Which depth sort mode are you using?

Modes go from 0 to 2 the latter being more accurate.

I would strongly encourage anyone building production projects with Isogenic to buy a premium licence, it costs very little and will help towards continued development of the engine. Irrelon have spent thousands of hours developing this wonderful platform with many features found in AAA game engine.

Hi Rob,

the depth is zero. When I try to set the bounds3d I get an error message.

self.obj[11].bounds3d(0, 0, 0);
"Uncaught TypeError: undefined is not a function "

Thanks

Are you using the free trial version of the engine the API is slightly different.
Use the following:
Code: Select all
 self.obj[11].size3d(x,y,z)
