Hey there, I'm new to Isogenic and I wanted to ask if there's a maximum number of clients or some other limitation like that for Isogenic Engine. Thanks in advance.

Hey ya,

That really depends entirely on the type of game, the bandwidth of your servers, the server distribution, the CPU load of the game server (how much game code executes each tick and how much of that is player-related) etc etc etc.

In short there is no simple answer to this question, but a good ballpark is something like 30 - 100 clients per server, depending on how intense your server code is and how much CPU and bandwidth your server has.

Isogenic's code is pretty well optimised but if someone writes poor game code they can make anything sluggish ;)

P.S. see http://braains.io/ - this guy built a zombie game that has 30 - 100 players in a single instance regularly (in Isogenic engine).
