The GameHost service allows you to focus on writing your game instead of worrying about hardware, servers, linux installations, maintenance etc. The service is provided with a free starter package that allows you to quickly get to grips with the Isogenic Game Engine and rapidly prototype your game idea.
How It Works
Once you are registered and have an account you are provided with a management console that will allow you to create game instances and also stop, start, debug and remove those instances. You are provided with an online script editor for easy code changes or you can work on your game in your favourite editor and FTP your changes to your server instance.
Hosting Packages
There are three different packages to choose from:
*CPM = Connections Per Month. This value is determined as the average (mean) number of connections each day over the course of a month. Most new games get an initial spike in traffic as new players sign up to try it out, after which the number of players tends to become more steady. By averaging the number of connections to your game over the course of a month you are protected from traffic spikes costing you lots of money when the actual number of active players playing your game after the initial launch might be less.
Prototype accounts are not charged by CPM but are limited to 20 connected players at a time.
